#Asktheexpert Hi my son turned 1 year on sept 19, from sept 21 i started giving him cow milk starting with 4 spoons. Since the last 2-3 days he cries (at times) while pooping. Is this because of milk?

A. Cow's milk should be introduced to the child only after 1 year of age . Earlier introduction of cows milk can lead to micro bleeding in the digestive tract. It's alddso deficient in iron vit E,C and essential fatty acid. It's also lacking ideal proportion of protein and fats present in breast milk or any formula milk .
