Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Eye redness is commonly seen because of some allergic condition , infection or any trauma which needs proper examination. if it is associated with some discharge it could be infection,no self medication should be used.
if the baby is continuously rubbing the eye or there is any swelling it indicathtes irritation and inflammation.before application of any eye drops,you need to you get your baby clinically examined so consult your doctor once.

it might happen because of injury or forigen object fall in eyes.
so please clean your child eyes with fresh tap water
and if a child is feeling discomfort like pain , itching, etc. along with it then please visit your pediatrician
