#asktheexpert hi, if the child is above their standard weight as per their age and height, is it bad for the child. if yes, may I know in what sense.

A. Hello, If the difference between given standard weight for the age and your child's weight is minimal then there is nothing to worry about as all kids have different growth rate and its okay as far as he is active with good immunity. If the weight difference is more and its affecting his energy level then it shows slow metabolism pattern which might affect his overall health in future hence its recommended to keep weight in given standard range.
