#asktheexpert Hi, I have delivered my baby boy on Jan 5 and the flow lasted for 20 days. After a week or 10 days , I started seeing brownish spotting occassionally for 10 days.After that I got my period and the flow is heavy compared to my previous periods before delivery. Is this normal or needs a consultation

A. It is normal. The first few cycles after giving birth will be heavy and also painful but if you’re having to change one pad or more per hour then consult your doctorWrite Your Answer Here

Q. Hi, I had a normal delivery on 5th October 2022, post that in November I had spotting on 12th November which lasted for 5 days.
