#AskTheExpert hi doctor, my baby boy born at 37 weks and 6days gestationa. his birth weight is 2.9kgs. now he is 2 months and 6days old. he weighs 5.75 kgs now. is this normal weight? and his belly button was bulged outwards. is this normal, please clarify

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. your baby is having appropriate weight for the age if the birth weight of the baby is taken into consideration if the baby is having small umbilical hernia it will be reducing by the time baby will be one year of age

Yo The wait seems normal to me but it looks like umbilical hernia into the Naval of your child so you should get it checked with your doctor ones because that way the doctor can only provide you the clarity about the issue and if needed they can advise with the treatment and medicines as well
