#AskTheExpert hi doctor, i have flat nipple so my two weeks old baby is not latching well, doctor advised to use nipple shield but facing milk supply issue with that...so currently expressing milk and giving through syringe method. doctor gave permission to use feeding bottle but lactation consultant is not allowing stating it would cause health issues to the baby. kindly advise on this

A. No It’s not at all an issue if you sterilise the bottles really very well before and after feeding the child then it is not an issue it would completely depend on the hygiene and sanitisation and sterilisation of the bot is that you are maintaining trade would be a better idea to go ahead with feeding
