#Asktheexpert Hello sir/madam, my son is 2 months 8 months old, weighs 4.2kg.. he was born with 2.8kg weight.. is his growth and weigh gain normal? he is exclusively on my BF.. Also what shall i consume for a better weight gain of my boy through my BF?

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr old girl4 years agoA. Hi Hello good morning don't worry in the first 3 months, babies put on about 800-900grams each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it becomes 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age.
