Q.

#AskTheExpert Hello Sir, I am mother of 40 days old son. Is there any issues to feed breast milk in feeding bottles ? My son is not breast feeding properly. Is there any issues related to intestinal gas if feeding in bottle? My son has the tendency of more gas discharge. Thank you

A. Try to feed the baby directly from the breast instead of bottle feeding as it might lead to gas and direct latching is important and it also enhances the flow of milk in your breast

A. Thank you. But my son is using nipple shield for breast feeding. He is not feeding directly from the breast. Now he seems not interested to drink even using the shield. We are giving breast milk in bottle also as he is not drinking directly. He is often crying when trying for breast feed. Please advise what to do
