#AskTheExpert hello sir, as I am a mother of 11 month old baby girl...me and my bilang both r covid 19 positive .my dr gave gave me tablet favipiravir800mg and told me that while taking this tablet I cant breastfeed my baby..bt my pedestrian told.me to breastfeed my baby.. I am getting confuse why should I do

A. Hello good evening !! As your physician told not to give breast feeding while having medication then don't feed baby..As baby is 11 months old feed semi solids/solids. Avoid breast feeding as Covid medicine contains steroids not suggested to Breast feed. Also you can take second opinion with other Paeditrician/physician by mentioning the medication you are following whether to breastfeed or not .
