#AskTheExpert hello dr. Mera beta 4.8 years ka hain. kal rat se fever hain. 101 fever uth raha hain. calpol 250 mg 4ml Diya rat 4 baje subha 7 baje tak 98.6 ho geya tha. abhi phir se fever Aya hain 101. local dr Sam ko hain.abhi Keya Karu.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children.
But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out .
Antipyrftetic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce feveer . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpful .
Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of appetite less urine output is there .
