Q.

#AskTheExpert hello doctor Our one month old daughter is having reddish little bumps in the pereneal area and she cries everytime we clean her up or chabge her diapers. We were using ezinappi+ cream everytime along with coconut oil at times during changes. What else are we missing? We continue to use diapers against cloth nappies as she poops a lot many times and her sleep gets disrupted in cloth nappies.

A. It is important to change diapers every two to three hours. Keeping the baby longer than this period with a used diaper can cause infections or rashes. When the baby passes stool, then it is a must to change the diaper immediately to maintain hygiene. After removing the diaper, don’t make your baby wear another diaper immediately. Allow his skin to breathe, let it be free for some time. Clean your baby’s skin with baby wipes or cloth after removing the diaper. You can apply any of -candid cream, or eazynappy cream, Sofirash cream or Himalaya's diaper rashe cream. All these help in curing rashes. maintain good hygiene.
