#AskTheExpert hello doctor, my baby is 19 month old and he is suffering from loose motion. please suggest

A. this is infection in the baby It is very important to avoid dehydration please give ORS coconut water buttermilk to the baby give zinconia syrup 5 ml 2 times a day along with enterogermina tubes to the baby

A. Loose motion most of the time is because of some infection which could be viral or bacterial and in such case it is associated with symptoms like fever along with vomiting and loss of appetite . supportive treatment is very necessary where proper hydration should be maintained by giving ORS along with that probiotic can be given like enterogermina or econorm in a proper dose . Antibiotics has fgtheir role only if it is bacterial infection . for this doctor guidance is necessary .
