Exclusive breastfeeding is encouraged till 6 months and is crucial for your child's growth. the baby can be weaned off after 6 months and started on top feeds.

no
please don't give anything to eat or drink other than breastmilk and needed medicines till 6 months age.
after completion of 6 months age, you can start to offer semisolid food to your child.
but till that please stick to breastfeeding
