Q.

#AskTheExpert Does burping really help babies with gas problems? my baby hardly burps after feeding, but has a colic problem. The pediatrician says that burps are not sufficient. Really confused, what to do? Also, my baby tend to sleep while feeding and not doing enough active feeding. Any suggestions for it?

A. Burping is important so that the air consumed during the feedings can be let out since it makes the baby fussy. Patting or rubbing a baby's back usually helps them to burp or pass gas. keep her in upright position after feeding for 20 to 30 kin.
