#AskTheExpert doctor my baby is suffering from COVID since yesterday,she is having high fever n had a seizure today morning, please suggest any way to reduce fever,this year Jan she was infected by COVID n also had seizure that time,what shall I do to avoid seizure,

A. fever with convulsions are mostly seen in some kids till 6 year of age in case of high fever, Give pcm as per prescribed dose and at proper adviced time interval . For any fever paracetamol is fine..after giving paracetamol wait for 30mins to 1 hour...if fever does not subside you can give tepid sponging to bring down the temperature if fever it's preferable to visit your doctor, for further evaluation and exact treatment or management.

A. instead of putting wet cloth on fore n dry sponge it's not coming down,what shall I do doctor

A. good morning make sure the temperature does not go very high you can try to place wet cloth on the forehead of the child and it is advisable that you must try to also give proper medication at the right time
