#AskTheExpert baby weight 5.5 kg at 4 months , birth weight 3 kg , doctor said low weight and recommended MCT oil and lactodex HMF to be added in mother's milk. Is this really required ? baby either spits or poops after I feed her these additives

A. It's normal for babies to spit up breast milk or formula occasionally. For most babies spit-up is a quick, smooth flow of liquids up and out during or shortly after a feeding. Spit-up normally does not lead to distress or weight loss.
