If your baby is still suffering from loose motion despite taking Tufpro (or any prescribed medication), it could be due to several factors, such as the persistence of a viral infection, a sensitivity to certain foods, or an imbalance in gut flora. It’s important to ensure your baby stays well-hydrated, as diarrhea can lead to dehydration, especially in young infants. Offer oral rehydration solutions (ORS) to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. If your baby’s condition persists for more than 2-3 days or worsens, or if you notice signs of dehydration (such as fewer wet diapers, dry mouth, or lethargy), consult your pediatrician again for further evaluation and possible adjustment in treatment. Additionally, keep a close eye on their diet and avoid introducing any new foods that could be irritating their digestive system.
