#AskTheExpert As my niece is 3 months old but her weight is 3.700 gram as she borns prematurely in the 8 month. Kindly suggest something so that she can gain her weight quickly as we feed her with a formula milk nan pro 1

Janani ViswanathanMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Have lot of skin to skin sessions with your baby. This is called kangaroo therapy. Both father and mother can do it. This warmth will greatly help to improve baby's weight. Your baby should be peeing anywhere between six to ten times a day which means the baby is taking feeds properly. If not then make sure the baby is taking adequate feeds. Doctor may prescribe formula that is suitable for low weight infants. You can consult with him.
