#AskTheExpert 9 month old baby having runny nose and cough.. she is also waking up at night while crying to much .no idea why.. help

A. yes m giving her saline drops but can't help her to pull off mucus while coughing..

A. Cough is a protective reflex of the body to expel out the mucus or any irritant factor from the respiratory tract which is most of the time assosiated with cold due to any viral or bacterial itnfection . A proper examination is required to find the cause . As a home remedy you can start with steam inhalation . Cough can be treated with cough suppressant or antitussives as per the cause. For cold antihistaminyes are useful and nasal saline drops are also benifecial .

A. hello you can put nasal drops and also use instant cold releif rub from Babyhug which can be of help and any concern then it is better to check with your doctor and your doctor will be able to guide you better on examination of the same and advise you accordingly
