#AskTheExpert 1.what is the minimum and maximum time of sleep for newborn? 2.How frequently newborn needs to be breastfeed, if it's not demanding on it's own

A. please feed your child on demand to avoid overfeeding , keep gap of 2 or 3 hours between two feeds

A. hi newborns can sleep around 16 to 18 hours per day. but each child is different and so it may vary . if your child looks happy and active, gains enough weight, passes urine at least 7 or 8 times in a day,no need to worry about it much.
