#askthedoctor my son is not gaining weight he is one year old and his weight is 7.5kgs is i dntknw it's normal or not

A. Weight gain in a child is a good indicator for proper health of the child and there should be a regular weight gain as per the age of the child. if there is not a proper weight gain it can be because of many factors and three most important causes are Baby not taking enough calories Baby is not absorbingg the enough calories which the baby is taking Baby is burning too many calories . So a progper assessment is very important to know the cause regarding this .

A. Its A minimum of 2 1/2 KG less as of now that could be due to some nutritional deficiency or if your child is not eating well they could be only two things behind it so I’ll advise you to get it checked with the nutrition expert once they will give you a clarity over the situation as well as a food plan that you should follow
