A. The nasal passages of newborns are very small so the least bit of dryness or extra mucus in their noses can make them snore or have noisy breathing. A newborn breathes more rapidly than an adult. This is because they do not have the lung capacity to hold a lot of oxygen so they need to breathe in and out more often.
