#askexpert hello meri daughter 10 month ki h usko 2days se cough ho gya h... main use tixylix 60 ml syrup de rhi hu but thik ni ho rha, now what can I do plz suggest .

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repejhated after 6 hours again if required .

mam,first of all, please stop self medication.
it can be harmful.
instead of it , apply warm paste of roasted ajwain seeds and 3 Cloves on your child chest and back.
you can apply Babyhug rapid relief rub on your child chest and back.
