#askdoctors My Baby girl is one year and 5months old ..she is very skinny ,no doubt she is active alot but her weight is less .please suggest me how to increase her weight.

A. Dear parent, your child being active indicates good health. For healthy weight gain, give homemade balanced diet having variety of food groups especially seasonal fruits and vegetables even green leafy vegetables. 500 ml or more milk every day including milk products like curd, paneer, cheese and even breastfeeding till 2 years. You can give eggs and non veg foods like chicken, fish, meat. Add nuts like almonds, walnuts to baby’s food. Give 4 to 5 meals a day and up to one katori every time.
