99.1 degree temperature for my three years 4 months kid .. is it normal

A. Fever is commonly seen in babies and mostly it's viral infection which is very common in children. But if fever is high grade and persisting or assosiated with specific symptoms than other causes should also be ruled out . Antipyretic like paracetamol or ibuprofen or mefenamic acid are usually given to reduce fever . Cold sponging with lukewarm water is also helpfful . Doctor consultation should be done if symptoms like excessive irritability dullness loss of cappetite less urine output is there .

A. It Will be counted as fever only because once the temperature crosses 99° fahrenheit it will be termed as fever only so you give medicine to the child for fever has a very minor fever like you know so this is going to be in control with one dose is only hopefully
