POOJA KOTHARIExpecting Mom due in 1 month3 months agoA. It’s not uncommon for exclusively breastfed babies to go several days without pooping—sometimes even up to 10–14 days—as breast milk is efficiently digested and leaves very little waste. If your 4-month-old baby is otherwise active, feeding well, passing gas, has a soft tummy, and shows no signs of discomfort or straining, this can be normal. However, if your baby seems uncomfortable, has a hard or swollen tummy, or if the stool is hard when it does come, it's best to consult your pediatrician. Gentle tummy massage, leg bicycling, and giving the baby more tummy time may help stimulate a bowel movement.
