Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by thjie doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescribed.
if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

Nihita mittalMom of 4 children3 years agoA. good evening I would recommend that you take a baby in direct steam inhalation and you can apply baby Vicks rub on the chest and feet of the child this will also help to provide a lot of relief
