17 month baby still not start to speak

Look in gender it has been seen if the child has not picked up by the age of 2 1/2 years then it would be quite a delay in the process then in that case you have to consult a speech therapist but currently if you try and communicate more and more with your child I believe your child is going to pick up faster over the period
