Why my baby poop has a mucus like jelly in it

A. mucus in the stool is very common phenomenon. it is usually present due to the throat mucus / thick saliva as well as respiratory secretions which pass on from respiratory tract (parts of nasal cavity , oral cavity and throat) to the gastrointestinal tract by swallowing and then comes out through the anal canal mixed with the stool. it may be present in less quantity during regular times and would be in more quanftity during allergy as well as cough and cold in the child. mucus in the stool is also associated with gastrointestinal infections as a less constipation as well as indigestion. treatment is usually given according to the cause

A. Sometimes it is very normal and sometimes it could probably be due to some kind of an infection in the body of the child the gut infection commonly gives you symptoms like this so you can have an assessment with your paediatric to have better clarity on the situation
