Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 8 yr 1 m old boy2 years agoA. this is normal stool as per the age of the child.
this variation maybe seen when the child is on milk.
if the growth and the weight of the child is within normal limits then there is no need to worry.
if you still feel that something is different you can get the child examined by the doctor who will tell you if there is need for any stool examination or not
the green colour that many times is present in the stool is due to the digestive enzymes (bile )present in the stomach and when the food reacts with the digestive enzymes this can give green colour to the stool.
the importance is of consistdency of the stool so if the consistency is watery and green then only you need to meet the doctor but if it is semi solid to solid green stool then no need to meet the doctor.
