Sometimes a vocal clans take a little longer time to develop which is why the speech can get delayed for a while and that is considered completely normal there is nothing wrong with that further more a child can pick up want to eat speech by the age of 2 1/2 to 3 years also so right now if you are thinking that your child is not speaking and it is a delay it is not not a delay
