as your child is 8 months old,you can offer porridge, khichu, idli, dhokla, upma,sheera , rab, multi grain dosa ,finger food like boiled potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots , variety of fruits , roasted paneer etc to your child.
but always prefer homemade healthy food.
