You can use diapers but of very good quality for example premium pampers, baby hug ,mothercare etc. but diaper free interval is important. it cjwill be better to use a good cream like ezinapi cream before making the baby wear a diaper or for rashes. cotton diapers can also be used, it may help in reducing the diaper rash if any.

Apply coconut oil or olive oil twice daily 
Wash hands often before touching your baby
