A. For a 2-month-old baby who is not gaining weight properly, supplementing with formula can be a good option. When choosing a formula, consider: 1. **Infant Formula**: Opt for a standard infant formula designed for babies under 6 months. These are formulated to meet the nutritional needs of infants. 2. **Brands**: Popular and reputable brands include Similac, Enfamil, and Nestlé. Each brand offers different options, such as standard, organic, or hypoallergenic formulas. You can choose based on what suits your baby's needs and any recommendations from your pediatrician. 3. **Consult Your Pediatrician**: Before introducing formula, it’s a good idea to consult with your baby's doctor to ensure it's the right choice and to get specific recommendations based on your baby's health and needs. Start by mixing a small amount of formula with breast milk to help your baby adjust, and monitor for any reactions or preferences.
