they are safe if given by registered medical practitioner. do not undertake medicines or medical procedures not prescribed / guided by the doctor.
take a follow up in few days if it is not improving for need of treatment modification
they are fontanelle and usually they will close by maximum 18 months of age and only sometimes by 2 years of age.
they are normally present in all infants and is important for the development growth of the brain
it is important to see that the child is not suffering from calcium and vitamin d deficiency as well as the child is not having any other complaintsx because their deficiency is the common cause of delayed closure of fontanelle.
