Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Yes, you can start dieting but if you are breastfeeding, do not go for longer periods without eating. Eat small but more frequent meals. Start going for a brisk walk. After consulting with your doctor, start with yoga or light exercises. Drink lots of water and avoid eating junk, fried, processed, fatty foods. Take ample amount of rest. Do not take stress.

Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Exclusive breastfeeding is advisable till the time the baby completes 6 months of age. Till then, mother's milk takes care of all water and nutritional requirements of baby's body. Once the baby completes 6 months, you can start with one solid meal or one semi solid meal per day initially and then increase gradually. Start with rice Ka Pani or Dal Ka Pani or rice porridge or mashed carrot or clear vegetable soup or any one vegetable puree or any one fruit puree or stewed pear or stewed apple. Give sips of water in between meals.
