Ensure that the child eats enough; increase number of meals.
Increase interval between breastfeeds. Drop one feed every day per week. Taper over 2-3 months.
Stop morning breastfeeds first, then afternoon feeds after 2 - 3 weeks. Avoid situations that remind the baby of the breast: other family members and father can help with feeding and putting child to sleep.
The nighttime feeding is usually the last to go.
ShellyMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Only breastfeeding at this age is not healthy as the baby is not getting all the required nutrients. Give her mashed fruits, boiled vegetables, and start Dexolac stage 3 to complete her nutritional requirements.
