shall I give honey to my baby after giving cough syrup??

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce thed fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Yes You can give it to the child also if you want you can mix medicines with honey sometimes to be giving because a lot of times kids do not accept medicine so you can mix honey to the medicine as well it’s completely safe to be given after the age of one year
