Cold most of the time is a  viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine  which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and  according to the tyhpe of cough its prescribed.htf
if any  fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours  if required .

Hello dear parent. Ypu should put naso clear drops in baby's nose. As it is good for clearing nasal passages. Also give steam to your bahy for few minutes and several times in a day . As steam actually helps in opening up nasal passages and also clears congestion of the baby. Good luck and take care
