Q.
Recently my sil has started giving formula milk to her 3 month old baby. But for 4-5 days the baby is feeling a bit gastric and constipation issues. She is really worried. Is it happening because of giving formula milk or heat. Because this formula milk is recommended by pediatrician only. That's why she is getting confused. Please share your suggestions.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid footiopd has been started after 6 months .
you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
