preetMom of a 3 yr 1 m old girl2 years agoA. if u are doctor feels surgery is needed for ur gall stones it's better to go ahead with that to avoid any complications further. u would be able to feed ur child soon after ur surgery. u can also store expressed breast milk and give ur child that if u are apprehensive that post op surgical pain might cause difficulty in feeding. the drugs given are usually safe in breastfeeding

Doses of antibiotics and painkillers may be administered in theatre or in recovery, but these would normally be suitable for breastfeeding.
