Q.

One of my dr prescribed me bifolate syp to my daughter for geographic tongue , and another dr told me to give her zincovit , can someone please tell me which one is best for this treatment ? She is 2 years old , having geographic tongue from last one 9 months .

A. it is important for you to understand that geographic tongue will not go away totally and will return and there is no treatment for it immediately and it goes away with time. you can give any of the multivitamin suggested by your doctor. in geographic tongue no treatment is required and it is a temporary condition which gets result with increasing age of the child. the name has been given because the geography of patch on the tongue changes again and again. it is a painless condition and it is not a ulcer. multivitamins may help in slight improvement but is not the standard therapy
