Released in 1937, this was Disney's first full-length animated film and the first to use Technicolor. It was based on the Grimm brothers' fairy tale and became the most successful sound film of its time. A Daily Variety review called it "completely a thing of beauty and charm" and a "milestone in the art of picture making".
