Q.
my son is 4 month old n he is mostly formula feeding..from last 1 month his milk consumption has drastically reduced. he often just sucks the nipple without taking in milk .please suggest

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. see whether baby is passing urine at least eight times s per dayfor further advise and information in this regard it is advisable to consult your local doctor for proper examination physically and if all required any investigations also and proper management

if improper the child will continue to suck for long hrs without getting any milk
meet lactational counsellor who will guide regarding this.
see videos on you tube for breastfeeding position and attachment.f
take plenty of water, home made diet, seasonal fruits and vegetables, milk for increasing breast milk for yourself.
take 15 tfo 30 days weight and growth assessment by the doctor.
