My son is 2.10 years old. He had loose motion and sometimes he passed blood with potty 3 weeks ago I gave him syrup. After that, he felt better. Then after 3,5 days, he had loose motion again then I gave him a different syrup now he is fine but he passed mucus with a potty. Please suggest

Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting andti its known as gastroenteritis where symptomatic treatment along with management tfor dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment

I think her child is having an infection in the stomach which has not subsided completely which is why previously you could see blood now you can see mucus so I think it’s better to conduct a stool test for the child for better clarity on this
