My son is 17months old.. when will they start saying words

Usually that can happen by the time of 8 to 10 months and over the period the child is going to speak more so the more you communicate with your child more your child all the child is going to say better words so it is just a matter of time but I can’t even also start speaking by the age of two or 2 1/2 years and that’s normal
