thank you sir,i have consulted the dr,he prescribed that give paracetamol and if fever not down then give meftal p for two days .There is no need to add antibiotics.But still fever rises to 103°f after 3-3and 1/2hours after giving medicine and sponge. is it ok or not ,kindly suggest

the first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
keep the child in cool environment and avoid usings woolen clothes when the child is having fever
armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
to body sponge to decrease the surfaces temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
higher medicines (ibugesic / meftal-p) whether required or not wills be told by the doctor.
