Q.
My four year old son is suffering from running nose. He does not cough whole day but at night he cough badly. what to do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs tog be treated with anti allergic andt expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

RashmiMom of a 11 yr old girl2 years agoA. You can give indirect steam to the child also if you have a nebuliser machine available at home you can go ahead with nebulising Ente child is older than the age of one year you can go ahead with giving ginger juice and honey mixture to the child
