Q.

my daughter used to speak one or two words when she was 1yr 5months. Recently she is not trying to communicate with anyone. she doesn't say any words but she is very active and she responds to what all I say through her actions. should I be worried? some kids talk after 3. is it very serious issue?

A. Regarding Speech Baby usually start mono syllable by 6 to 7 months of age then by syllable words come by 9 to 10 months of age then by 12 to 14 months of age baby say two to three words followed by jargon speech at 15-16 months . child can start saying simple sentences by two fyears of age . just make the child comfortable and do more interaction with the child so that he can learn to specak senteynces properly. if the speech does not comes even by three years of age you need to consult your doctor for a proper assessment of the child .
