Author of questionMom of a 2 yr 2 m old child2 years agoA. Thank you so much for your response, I am hoping she gets better with time. she gets up with some discomfort all of a sudden, maybe cramps or pain..I am not able to understand.
To add on, I have severe acidity problem even before pregnancy and it got worse during pregnancy. Is it possible that my breastmilk is causing her problem? should I stop breastfeeding and switch to formula?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 6 m old boy2 years agoA. gastroesophageal reflux disease also known as g e r d is very common problem in small children less than 6 months of age and it does not have any permanent treatment and the problem decreases with increasing age of the child and the important thing is that you have to keep the child in upright position for more duration for which gerd chairs are available and at the same time you have to continue and tested medicines given by the doctor.
reflux is very common cause of recurrent cough cold as well as not gaining weight in infants.
sleeping pattern in small children changes from time to time but will improve with increasing age of the child
you have to just see for any environmental factor which is affecting the sleep like temperature variations as well as the child might be having some digestion problem or breathing difficulty due to nasal blockage has to be looked into.
if the growth of the child is proper do not worry much about the sleeping pattern of the child as it always improve with time
you can increase the physical activity duringz the daytime as well as avoid more sleeping time during the day time and thisz will help in improving the night time sleeping time .
